Berwickshire News and General Advertiser – 10,000 to 15,000 soldiers to encamp at Stobs each year

Newspaper speculation that between 10,000 and 15,000 soldiers may be quartered at Stobs.   Also, that it is likely that many volunteer corps, including the Scottish Border Brigade, will encamp at Stobs each year.   Due to the establishment of Stobs camp, it is unclear how the existing Berwick Barracks may be affected.
