    Berwickshire News and General Advertiser – King’s Own Scottish Borderers leave for camp at Stobs 16 May 1916 3/4th King’s Own Scottish Borderers under command of Colonel Sir R Waldie Griffith, V. D. have left Galashiels for Stobs and summer camp.   Advance parties arrived at Stobs last week with the main party now departing by train.

    Berwickshire News and General Advertiser – Volunteer Cyclists from Stobs involved in a sham fight 9 August 1904 About 100 volunteer cyclists from Stobs took part in a sham fight at Fans where Captain Herbertson declared the result a draw.
