Kelso Chronicle – Military Court at Stobs Camp for German prisoner of war

A Military Court was held at Stobs Camp on Monday for trial of prisoner of war No 276 Carl Michalski, a stoker from Blucher, who escaped from Stobs and was subsequently recaptured near Newcastleton. Lieutenant Colonel J J George VD 3/6th Gordon Highlanders was President along with Captain D C M Logan 3/5th Royal Scots and Captain J G Cowie, 3/6th Gordon Highlanders. Prosecutor was Lieutenant F W Hancock and interpreter Second Lieutenant H W Sparrow. Result of court to be announced later.
