Hawick News – Sergeant J L Dewar’s reception in Hawick

The 4th and 5th battalion of the Royal Scots went on manouveres in the area of Winningtonrig under the command of Colonel W J Younger. On completion of morning activities both battalions marched to Hawick in order to greet Sergeant J L Dewar winner of the Kings Medal at the recent Bisley Shoot completion. On arrival at Hawick Station Sergeant Dewar, riding in an open carriage, led the procession back to Stobs.
