Berwickshire News and General Advertiser – Low turnout at Stobs

10 July 1906

Sports were held in the Berwickshire lines at Stobs camp on Thursday with prizes subscribed by Colonel Hope and Officers of the Battalion.   On Saturday afternoon a contingent of E Company, KOSB under the command of Captain G McDougall left the Royal Burgh by train for the annual camp at Stobs.   A poor turnout of the Oxton Company was attributed to having to attend Stobs so often.   A small number of volunteers (16 or 17) from the Earlston Company return from camp at Stobs.
