31 August 1917
The following prisoners escaped from the war internment camp at Stobs on the night of the 23rd or the morning of the 24th who up until Thursday were still at large. The article describes the prisoners: Bernard Haak, Paul Otto Buty, Walter Drussalmann, Wilhelm Heinrich Jensen, Max Emmerlich, and Emil Schulz. It was reported that these men will no doubt endeavour to obtain a change of clothing. They can all speak English, but their relatives are all resident in Germany and they will no doubt make efforts to return to their native country.
